It Started Out So Simple
It Was Just a Letter

At first I thought it was only junk mail, that was until the engraved silver cross pen I’d been missing for almost 2 weeks fell out of the envelope bouncing off the hardwood floor, and coming to a rest near my shoe. The letter inside instructed me to meet at an old secluded garage on the far side of town for a meeting regarding a mutual concern with little more information.
Knowing what I know now, I wonder if I would still have gone to that meeting. Still the fact that someone knew of my secret, my lack of respect and burning hatred of the New Prince forced my hand I had to go if only to see who or what I was up against.
